_{Triangle Flight of Honor}

Sanford Elks life member, Harold Pearson was able to attend the “Triangle Flight of Honor” on 11/14/10.  This event flies our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials created in their honor.

The Elks raised more than 1.41 million dollars to help build this memorial. The Elks pledged $1 per member. Every Lodge in the Nation met the goal and most exceeded it. Our own D. Steve Gunter served as the National Director of the BPOE WWII Memorial Fund. Thank you Mr. Gunter and every Elk member in the Nation for your support.  And a special “THANK YOU” to all our heroes -  past, present, and future!

Elks Annual Memorial Service

Each year the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks remembers and honors our departed members with a memorial service held the first Sunday in December. The Sanford Elks Lodge Memorial Service will be held on December 5th, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Lodge Room. Our Lodge will remember and memorialize those members who have passed away this year. Please plan to attend this heart felt service and help remember our departed members.
